In 1916 Irish nationalists and revolutionary workers launched an insurrection against British imperialism. This was the beginning of twenty years of revolution across Europe and a struggle which left Ireland partitioned into a colonial and a neo-colonial state a few years later.
Socialist Resistance and Pluto Books are hosting this public event which is both a commemoration of an important moment in Irish working class history and an opportunity to examine the Rising’s legacy and ongoing significance.
