WHY WE’RE MARCHING
The anti-choice, US-inspired ‘March for Life’ are holding their 5th annual ‘Life fest’ in London. Last year we kicked them out of Birmingham and this year we’re going to let them know that their attitudes aren’t welcome in London.
Although ‘March for Life’ try to present a shiny, family-friendly appearance, in reality, it is made up of extreme anti-women, anti-choice, evangelical groups which regularly harass women outside abortion clinics.
In addition to opposing abortion, these groups also have links to homophobic, fascist and far-right organisations. ‘March for Life’ supporters also oppose contraception, sex education and IVF fertility treatment.
OUR STAND
In 2018 women should be trusted to make their own decisions about their bodies. Women attempting to access a legal medical service must be able to do so without fear of harassment or intimidation.
It’s time for the UK’s pro-choice majority to say we’ve had enough of this kind of behaviour and to stand up for our right to safe, legal abortion.
